In October cheese imports to Ukraine three times higher than its exports
According to the data of customs statistics, in October 2014 Ukraine exported about 300 tons of cheese. At the same time, its imports amounted to 940 tons, this was reported in the the Association “Ukrainian Agribusiness Club” (UCAB).

Ban of Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance may cause losses of US $300 million by landowners
Since October 22, 2014, ban on crop production imported from Ukraine has entered into force in the Russian Federation. Whereas in the past restrictions used to be imposed on such plant products as onion, potatoe, sunflower seeds, soybeans and meal, currently Ukraine can not export to the Russian Federation the total list of goods included in the list of regulated products with high phytosanitary risk (complete products list can be found according to the reference). Thus, the Ukrainian exporters would suffer additional financial losses in the amount of US $57,5 million till the end of 2014 as a result of embargo on this products list. For the calendar year, the total amount of losses on this list could reach US $300 million.

Foreign direct investment in agriculture of Ukraine decreased by 13,4%
At the end of the first half of 2014, foreign direct investment in agriculture, forestry and fisheries in Ukraine decreased by US$ 104,1 million or 13,4% to US$ 672,5 million, compared to the total investment at the beginning of the year. Ukrainian exporters used 99.8% of tariff rate quotas for grains exports to the EU
Ukrainian exporters have actively used tariff rate quotas (TRQs) on grains export to the European Union introduced by autonomous trade preferences (ATP). As of September, 25 grain TRQ was used by 99.8%, another words 1.6 million tons of Ukrainian grains were exported to the EU. This was reported by the association Ukrainian Agribusiness Club (UCAB).

Global agricultural economists: 2013 was a good year for most farms, however corn in the US, France and Brazil already under heavy economic pressure
Around 55 agricultural economists from more than 30 countries met in Des Moines at the annual agri benchmark Cash Crop conference to discuss the state of global crop production and its perspectives. While cash crop farming was still rather profitable in 2013 in most parts of the world the experts are more bearish regarding the future commodity prices.

Fish supply on the Ukrainian market reduced by 34%
Annexation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea caused a significant decrease of fishing in Ukraine, and hryvnia devaluation led to a reduction in its imports. All of these factors have resulted in a reduction of fish supply in Ukraine by 34%. This was reported in the Association "Ukrainian Agribusiness Club" (UCAB).

In Ukraine honey production could be reduced by 3,7-10,5% in 2014
In Ukraine honey production could reach about 66-71 thousand tons in 2014, which is 3,7-10,5% less than a year earlier. However, exports of the production could rise to 24-27 thousand tons, that exceeds the last year's value by 10,7-24,6%. This was reported in the Association “Ukrainian Agribusiness Club” (UCAB).

Previous US dollars exchange rate growth caused dramatical increase in prices of pork
During the last two weeks, procurement prices of live pigs rose by 4.5%. The main underlying cause that influenced rise in prices was hryvnia devaluation. This was reported in the Association “Ukrainian Agribusiness Club” (UCAB).

For the last six months agricultural companies have become cheaper more than by 20%
One of the indicators, which most clearly reflects the current situation with investment, political and economic climate, is capitalization of public companies. As informed Association "Ukrainian Agribusiness Club” (UCAB), 15 Ukrainian public agricultural companies are currently represented on the world exchanges. For the last 6 months, this index has decreased on more than 1.1 bln USD (-22.2%), since October 2013 – on 2.5 bln USD (-39.1%), and at the end of August it totaled 3.9 bln USD.

Offer for imported dairy products on the market has decreased
According to the Mìnistry of Incomes, for the first seven months of the year Ukraine has imported dairy products totaling 114 mln USD. Although it is only 2% less than the analogous period of the previous year, but in natural expression this reduction in imports was quite significant. Such estimation has been done by the Association "Ukrainian Agribusiness Club” (UCAB).
