Capitalization of Ukrainian agricompanies continues decline
As of mid-April 2013 capitalization of Ukrainian agri-food companies amounted to about 5.55 billion USD, which is 12% less than in 2012. This was stated by the Association "Ukrainian Agribusiness Club" (UCAB). Experts noted a negative downward trend in stock value of domestic agricultural companies.

Imports of whole-milk products decreased in March
Ukraine reduced imports of whole-milk products in March to 993 tons which is 28% less than the imported record volumes in February. This was stated by the Association "Ukrainian Agribusiness Club" (UCAB).

Ukrainian milk producers on the verge of survival
Economic results of agricultural companies in 2012 indicate the efficiency of milk production at the level of 2.3%. This suggests that the profitability of milk production declined significantly in comparison to 2011, when it amounted to 18.5%. This was reported by the Association "Ukrainian Agribusiness Club" (UCAB) with reference to the data, provided by the State Statistics Committee.

Tax incentives efficiency in AIC decreases solely due to slick legislative changes - UCAB
Efficiency of tax incentives in agriculture decreases due to inconsiderate legislative changes that lead to a situation, when the actual amount for industry support through tax incentives is significantly lower than the declared one. This was stated by the Association "Ukrainian Agribusiness Club" (UCAB), commenting on the widespread media reports on the inefficiency of tax incentives for agriculture development.

Profitable crops for Ukrainian steppes
Profitability analysis of grain and oil-bearing crops production for the years 2007-2011 shows that sunflower is the most profitable crop in Ukraine and in most regions of the Ukrainian steppe. But there are some exceptions. Thus, in the Crimea the average profitability of corn production for the analyzed period is 64%, while sunflower – just 35%: in the Kherson region the average index of soybean production amounts to 42%, while of sunflower - 31%.

At low prices for “vegetables for borsch” one should diversify production – expert
Ukrainian producers are focusing on growing traditional "vegetables for borsch": white cabbage, carrots, table beets, onions and a few more others. This led to overproduction and reduced profitability. The solution for farmers under such circumstances may be a switch to alternative vegetable crops.

Domestic standards to block Ukrainian poultry meat entry to EU market
The long-awaited entry to EU market for Ukrainian poultry producers could may never happen, even despite the agreements reached with the European Union. The main obstacle may be seen in National Standard on "Poultry meat. General standard specifications" – i.e. inconsistency of some norms with international standards, - the Association "Ukrainian Agribusiness Club" and the "Union of Poultry Farmers of Ukraine" say, appealing with a respective letter to the Prime Minister of Ukraine.
