During the first quarter of 2009, the general production of agricultural goods in all types of economies increased by 1.7%, including agricultural economies - up by 7%, economies of the population - down by 2.3%, declared the State Committee of Statistics on April 15.

Budget support of the agro industrial complex of Russia to increase by over 1.5 times
Despite the global financial crisis, the Government of the Russian Federation increased the volume of budget support of the agricultural sector in the year by over 1.5 times – to 182 bln RUR (5.39 bln USD), including contributions to the authorized capital stock of Rosselhozbank and Rosagroleasing, declared Elena Skrynnik, the Minister of Agriculture of Russia, on March 21.
