The British named major competitive advantages of the Ukrainian agribusiness
On 27 January in Kyiv the British agricultural producers shared their impressions of a visit to the Ukrainian agricultural enterprises that took place from 23 to 28 January. The trip to Ukraine was arranged by Syngenta Company supported by the British Embassy in Ukraine. The British agricultural producers visited Poltava and Zhytomyr regions, joined the field crops conference ‘Workshop of Farmer’ supported by Syngenta in Kharkiv. The final destination of the visit was Kyiv where they told reporters about experience gained during trips to agricultural farms, and evaluated potential of the agricultural sector in Ukraine.

UCAB and Ukrsadprom are boosting their cooperation
On 31 January in Vinnitsa city the Association ‘Ukrainian Agribusiness Club’ signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Association ‘Ukrsadprom’. The relevant agreement was entered into between Dmytro Kroshka, Head of Ukrsadprom, and Taras Vysotskyi, General Director of UCAB.

Conflict between NBU and Ukrlandfarming may adversely affect the entire agriculture sector
A number of agricultural associations applied to Volodymyr Hroisman, the Prime Minister of Ukraine, with a request to hold the meeting with representatives of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine, Committees of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and Valeriia Hontarieva, Head of the National Bank, in order to resolve the conflict between NBU and management of Ukrlandfarming, the largest agricultural holding in Ukraine.

In 2016 the domestic agricultural products were exported to the amount over USD 215 million to Germany, and the domestic agricultural products to the amount of USD 330 million were imported.

Europe is the main consumer of Ukrainian pasta
69% of the Ukrainian pasta is exported to the European countries. In January-November 2016, this product was supplied to the EU to the amount of USD 17.6 million that is 4.2 times more than the same period of 2010 (USD 4.2 million).
