Prysiazhniuk: Farmers will complete sowing of basic spring crops by mid-May
Ukraine has almost completed the sowing of basic spring grain and leguminous crops, which will be completed by mid-May. As of today, more than five million hectares or 62% of the projected area have been already sowed, agricultural policy and food minister Mykola Prysiazhnyuk declared.

In Ukraine, 90% of the planned areas sown with spring crops
As of 23 April 2013, Ukrainian agrarian producers have sown early spring crops and leguminous crops on 2.6 million hectares (89% of the forecast). Now northern and western regions of Ukraine are actively participating in the sowing campaign. This was stated by Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Mykola Prysyazhnyuk.
