Oats production growth projected at 11%
The UCAB Association’s experts forecast production volumes of oats at 540 k tons in 2016 which is 11% extra comparing to preceding year. Production increase stimulated by better yielding rates due to contributing weather during the season. Yields have increased from 2.3 tons per ha to 2.6 tons. At the same time sowing areas remain stable.
Farther increase of production is likely to remain due to export upward within past previous seasons. Thus, during 2011-2015 years volume of oats export has multiplied markedly from 0.4 k tons in 2011 to 58 k tons in 2015.
