No outflow of deposits from banks - IAUB
Ukrainians do not massively withdraw deposits from banking institutions.
Members of the Committee for money and credit policy and currency regulation of the Independent Association of Ukrainian Banks (IAUB) have said about this, who are mainly heads of treasuries and financial subdivisions of commercial banks, the Association's press center informs.
“We receive inquiries from journalists, who ask about the level of deposits' outflow. We do not have any outflow,” head of the commission and director of the treasury and institutional business center of Ukrsotsbank Serhiy Manokha said.
The bankers noted that the matter does not concern any trends toward the preterm termination of deposit agreements. According to them, recently there were cases, when depositors failed to reregister their deposits for a new term and the banks relate this to the fact that Ukrainians are preparing for traditional expenditures over a period of the New Year and Christmas holidays.
