The first results of machinery evaluation at Agro-Technology Day are known
On March 30, 2017 at the production facilities of LLC ‘AgroKIM’ (IMC) in Pryluky town the first module of pre-sowing tillage under the project ‘Agro-Technology Days’ organized by the Association ‘Ukrainian Agribusiness Club’ together with the AgriEvent Agency took place.
Operation of agricultural machinery produced by the leading international manufacturers, generators of agricultural technologies, was presented at the event. 10 manufacturers of equipment participated in the event. Demonstration of machinery was evaluated by 4 criteria: observance of depth ± 1 cm, ridgeness less than 2 cm, size of crumbles on the surface, up to 80% less than 1 cm, cross section of soil (furrows on the sole, smaller crumbles above seedbed). The chief agronomists of agricultural enterprises included in the Association were members of the expert group. Various equipment demonstrated itself differently in terms of the corresponding performance indices. Hence, the list of results can be found in the table below.

According to Taras Vysotskyi, General Director of the Association ‘Ukrainian Agribusiness Club’ one of the key goals of Agro-Technology Days is an opportunity to test in the field agricultural machinery of the leading manufacturers as well as evaluate it: ‘Such testing will enable agricultural producers to facilitate taking decisions on the selection of machinery in accordance with the specified parameters. Owing to objectively elaborated evaluation methodology the results are the most transparent and relevant. Evaluation results can be a kind of preliminary filter for farmers allowing to save the time’.
Taras Vysotskyi also noted that several modules of Agro-Technology Days are planned to be held 'We are going to move in the same direction, improve the organization with every future event and make such events more affordable and easier for agricultural producers. A series of events to demonstrate cutting-edge technologies have been previously planned: sunflower sowing (April 20), introduction of plant protection products (July), plowing and harvesting (September-October)’.
