Ukraine sowed 1.6 mln ha with winter grain
Through September 23, Ukraine sowed 1.6 mln ha with winter grain, as opposed to 3 mln ha on the same date in the previous year, Juriy Melnik, the Minister of Agrarian Policy, said on September 24. The decrease in sowing rates, he said, was caused by unfavorable weather conditions.
Winter rapeseed sowed areas totaled 1.08 mln ha, while planning rates totaled 1.22 mln ha.
