Ukraine gets first tranche of Russian loan
The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) on Tuesday has received the first tranche of Russian loan at $ 3 billion as Russia bought in the Ukrainian external government loan bonds.
Prime Minister Mykola Azarov announced this at a meeting with his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev in Moscow.
"Today, our National Bank has received the first tranche to its account. This is a stabilizing factor for us. Due to the agreements reached our ratings have improved," Azarov said.
Ukrainian Prime Minister also thanked the Russian government for the loan.
