Ukraine: deficit of agricultural equipment to increase grain prime cost
Ukrainian agrarian enterprises traditionally face the problem of technical equipment support before the beginning of the harvesting campaign, declared Alexander Jaroslavskiy, the head of project department of Ukrainian agrarian confederation. In the recent times, grain combine harvesters receive more areas for harvesting work, at the same time, the existing harvesters become older, according to the informational centre of the confederation.
In the current year, the government almost stopped supporting the industry of domestic agricultural technical equipment production. And the domestic agricultural enterprises also have low facilities for purchasing of the domestic or import technical equipment. In such conditions, the enterprises will have to engage outside organizations for crop harvesting, according to A.Jaroslavskiy.
In the terms of possible growth of prices of material and technical resources, the mechanized structures will increase tariffs for grain harvesting works. Last year, the tariff totaled 12-15% from the harvest cost, but in the current year the tariff will possibly grow to 18-20%, and increase the prime cost of grains.
