In April 2014, Association "Ukrainian Agribusiness Club" and agency "AgriJob» initiated nationwide project "AgriBusiness Ideas of Advanced Students (AgriBIAS)” which is aimed on searching talented students and graduates, establishing communication between employers and young professionals, promoting innovation development of agribusiness, as well as strengthening the role of corporate social responsibility among agricultural companies.

The competition has to bring students in teams to generate together new ideas for agribusiness. The authors of the most interesting ideas will be asked to write business plans for their implementation, and five best teams, by decision of Independent Commission, will present their business plans at a special session of the conference "Doing Agribusiness in Ukraine: Perspectives for 2015", which will take place on 4 December 2014 in Kyiv. Winners will receive cash prizes, internships in companies-partners of the project and participation in leading agribusiness activities of Ukraine.

"The project has two close objectives. On the one hand, to introduce new ideas for the business, as youth has always been and will be the most innovative part of the society; and, on the other hand, to give an opportunity to the most gifted participants to find jobs at leading companies, because it is not so easy to make first career steps, especially for graduates. In today's challenging financial and economic conditions it is hard to overestimate the importance of this project because  issues of human capital are the key ones in any sector of the economy, and agricultural industry is not an exception" - said Volodymyr Lapa, Director General of the Association "Ukrainian Agribusiness Club".

 “This project has a lot of advantages. Firstly, it is the National project, so students from all regions have equal opportunities. Secondly, we are not limited only to agrotehnological specialties allowing students of any of the faculties and speciaties to compete. Also, we are pleased to invite for participation young people, who have already completed the training, but have ideas for agribusiness and want to share them. In General, the project gives the chance to students and graduates to demonstrate themselves, and our mission is to help talented young people and employers to find each other" - commented Anna Feschenko, the coordinator of the agency “AgriJob",  Association "Ukrainian Agribusiness Club".

The project partners are the leading agro-industrial companies: Cygnet Holding, Bayer, Basf, Eridon, KWS-Ukraine, AGCO Corporation Representative Office in Ukraine, New Holland Agriculture.

To participate in the competition, students of the 4^th and 5^th courses from all Ukrainian universities and youth under 25 years old must join together in teams of up to 5 people and send their ideas for agribusiness at the email address [email protected] until 31 May 2014.
