The price for wheat increased
During the last week (28.09-02.10.2015) export prices on the grain market showed a slight increase. Thus, the price for food wheat increased to 187 (+$4) USD/t, for feed wheat – to 167 (+$4) USD/t and for barley – to 180 (+$6) USD /t, while the price for maize remained the same as of the previous week - 168 USD/t.
This situation was caused by decrease in demand on the domestic market, as farmers begin to restrain the realization of large volumes of production, waiting for the price increase. World prices showed an upward trend and therefore supported the price for Ukrainian grain.
