Shadow economy in agriculture has decreased by 6%
Based on published research of the Ministry of economic development and trade of Ukraine, in 2015 level of shadow economy in agriculture has reached 8% which is 6% less than previous indication. This marker’s level is the lowest among all the industries of Ukraine’s economy. For example, shadow economy level in mining has reached 56% in 2015, processing – 46%, transportation and warehousing – 46%.
Positive trend in agriculture concerning shadow economy issues has place due to abolishment and reorganization of most of regulatory authorities in the industry, implemented simplified taxation system for agribusiness. At the same time, after increase of tax burden on agro business beginning from 2016, the tendency may change in the nearest future.
