Retail sales of alcoholic drinks may be restricted
It is offered to permit sales of alcoholic drinks in Ukraine only in specialised stores, or in departments with a separate entrance. Outlets selling alcohol products are offered to be opened at least 200 metres far from children's, educational, scientific, health protection institutions and at least 100 metres far from state institutions and military bases. Sales of alcohol are offered to be banned at railway stations, in ports and airports,on subsidised transport stops and in places, where public events are held. Respective changes to the law on regulation of retail sales of alcoholic drinks have been introduced to Verkhovna Rada for consideration. Nikolay Prisyazhnyuk, the chairman of Rada's committee for agrarian policy and land resources, is the author of the draft law.
