Restoration of forward grain buys delayed, experts say
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has not so far resumed forward purchases of grain by the Agrarian Fund, the press service of the Ukrainian Club of Agrarian Business association reported.
“Credit resource are practically inaccessible to farmers, and refinancing of business banks by the NBU for boosting the crediting was halted,” says Volodymyr Lapa, chief of the group of the Club experts, adding “the program of compensation of crediting rates is ineffective because of the vague perspectives of filling the national budget's stabilization fund.”
On April 9, Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko pledged restoration of forward purchases of grain by the Agrarian Fund in late April - early May.
