Prices on fertilizers continue to decline
From the beginning of the year prices on the most demanded fertilizers as ammonium nitrate and carbamide have dropped by 29% and 23% accordingly.
Plummeting tendency on these two types of fertilizers has been observed from the beginning of 2016 and caused by supply increase on the market due to the growth of import supplies and internal production recovering allowing avoiding pick up of prices during sowing season. Along with, notable influence on Ukrainian fertilizers market is driven by global trends of low prices. Carbamide export prices are on the level of some 200 USD/t being the lowest in a decade retrospective.
Currently, after finalization of sowing campaign, further decline of prices will be supported by seasonal demand narrowing, but further plummeting is not already the case to expect as producers are able to cut the production volume up to autumn seasonal operations.
