Milk Alliance plans no acquisitions
Sergei Vovchenko, CEO of Milk Alliance, says the company plans its domestic sales to reach the level of foreign sales to minimize the negative impact of import restrictions in the countries where it supplies its products like Russia and Belarus. Export is to account for 40% compared to the current 60%. Despite the lack of raw milk in Ukraine, Milk Alliance does not plan to construct its own farms in the next five years, as this would require large investments. In January - July 2009 cheese making mills of the company increased output 20% y/y to 24,300 tons. The warehouse stock was larger than usually in summer. Piryatin Cheese Dairy, for instance, had stock amounting to 85-90% of the monthly output compared to 60% before the crisis.
