Plant protection products’ import has increased by 40%
During Jan-May 2016 64.3 thousand tons of PPP were imported to Ukraine which is 40% extra comparing to previous year. Major import growth was noted in supplies of herbicides and insecticides. Current import increase has caused by market recovery after previous fall and due to higher demand from agro business according to growth of moisture level this year casing developments in plant diseases along with plants contamination. At the same time, increase in PPP usage in combination of sufficient moisture allows to expect higher yielding from early coming harvest in 2016.
