Farmers supply 745,000 tons of grain to Agrarian Fund
Ukrainian farmers supplied 745,000 tons of grain to the storage facilities of the Agrarian Fund of Ukraine as of September 9, 2013, the press service of the Agrarian Fund of Ukraine has reported.
"A total of 745,000 tons of grain has already been delivered to certified grain warehouses as part of the implementation of forward exchange contracts, which is 72% of contracted volumes," reads the statement.
The largest amount of grain was delivered to grain elevators from farmers in Vinnytsia, Poltava, Kirovohrad and Sumy regions. At the same time, agribusinesses in Kharkiv and Chernivtsi regions have already supplied the necessary volumes to grain elevators. The delivery in Sumy, Lviv, Poltava, Kirovohrad, Donetsk, Vinnytsia and Chernihiv regions is within 90% of the required amount.
Instead, the slow pace of grain supplies is observed in Ternopil region (22%), Zaporizhzhia region (40%) and Crimea (39%).
According to the Agrarian Fund, farmers in Kharkiv and Kirovohrad regions have almost completely fulfilled their obligations. The lowest level of the fulfillment of obligations (less than 10%) is observed in Volyn, Rivne, Ternopil and Zaporizhzhia regions.
The Agrarian Fund has currently sent nearly UAH 50 million to the accounts of agricultural producers. Payment orders for a total of UAH 170 million were simultaneously submitted for payment to the State Treasury Service.
