FAO: Crops rejected for containing traces of GMOs
Up to 26 countries around the world have blocked the import of a range of non-GMO crops because they were found to contain traces of Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs), UN Radio says referring to the the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) report.
As to report, shipments of supposedly non-GMO grain, cereal and other crops have been blocked, destroyed or sent back to the country of origin after testing revealed the low-level traces. By now, the numerous incidents have led to trade disruptions between countries.
