Every fourth dollar from exports earned by agricultural producers
Ukrainian agricultural producers exported agroindustrial products at more than USD 15.5 billion over 11 months, accounting for a quarter of the state's total exports.
Agrarian Policy and Food Minister Mykola Prysiazhniuk has said about this, the press service of the Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry informed.
"This year, without exaggeration, we reached record levels on export of agricultural products. So, for 11 months of 2013, we delivered abroad agroindustrial products worth more than USD 15.5 billion. And this is almost a quarter of the state's total exports. Therefore, a role of the agricultural sector in filling the economy with the currency is essential. Thus, every fourth dollar that the country receives from exports was earned by Ukrainian agricultural producers," Prysiazhniuk stressed.
Besides, the Minister approached the central government with a request to speed up the implementation of international contracts for exports of agricultural products to confirm the status of a reliable partner and fill the economy with foreign exchange earnings.
