EU to launch free trade with Ukraine on November 1
The European Union is planning to launch a free trade area with Ukraine on November 1, 2014.
Head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine Jan Tombinski said this at a meeting with Ukrainian business representatives on Thursday, Channel 5 reported.
In his opinion, the free trade area should operate on the same principles, on which the European market is currently opening to Ukraine.
Tombinski said that Ukrainian producers would be given an opportunity to prepare and improve their opportunities in the European market and that the Ukrainian market would gradually open to European goods.
As reported, the economic chapters of the association agreement between Ukraine and the EU could be signed after May 25.
