Economy of Ukraine will begin to recover this year already
US Ambassador to Ukraine William Taylor said this to the Zerkalo Nedeli weekly.
Meanwhile, he emphasized, the Ukrainian leadership will have to draw serious conclusions and pass uneasy decisions. The country leaders should work in cooperation with the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank and other international donors, reform the pension system and the Naftogaz company, work out grounds for reform of the fragile banking sector to make recapitalization of banks and settlement of problem bank issues transparent and meeting international standards, the ambassador noted adding that the common vision and resolute concrete efforts of the Ukrainian leadership will be required for restoration of trust of the Ukrainian people and the international community.
