Coca-Cola Beverages raises sales of juice 50%
Despite the general fall of Ukrainian juice, drink and nectar market in Q1 2009, sales of the company Coca-cola Beverages Ukraine (the trademarks Rich and Dobry) rose 50%, said Marketing Director of the company's juice business Irina Bezkrovnaya. According to her, the economic crisis scarcely affected strategic plans of transnational market players. Comparing to local manufacturers, transnational players have enough funds for further expansion and they can not only keep their market shares, but also raise sales. In 2009 the company's share in the Ukrainian juice market advanced 0.7%, to 6.5%. According to the company Vitmark Ukraine, in general, by results of 2008, capacity of the market decreased 15%, to 750mn litres.
