Arbuzov: Every day of confrontations weakens the economy of Ukraine
The Government is working on lessening of the negative impact of the political situation on the economic processes. Unfortunately, it has proved impossible to avoid such an impact in full, the First Ukrainian Vice Prime Minister Serhiy Arbuzov told in the course of a session of the Ukrainian Cabinet, Government Portal reports.
«In whole the degree of the conflict is reducing and the executive authorities must support the process of stabilization of the situation in the country. However, a threat of non-fulfillment of their functions by the local executive authorities is preserved. Not all the administrative buildings have been freed by the protesters to ensure normal functioning of the executive authorities in the regions. The process is on,» he declared.
Overall around the country, according to the Government’s representative, over 40% local budgets have been approved but in many regions their level of approval varies between 2 to 10%. Among the regions that delay the process the ones facing the protest spirits: Lviv, Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk andKhmelnytsky regions. «In order to solve this issue, first of all, it is necessary to unblock the work of the administrative buildings. Then the executive authorities in the regions will be capable to perform their duties properly,» he added. Targeting to ensure normal budgeting process on all the levels Serhiy Arbuzov has commissioned the Finance Minister Yuriy Kolobov to facilitate faster approval of the local budgets and taken this issue under his personal control. The First Vice Premier of Ukraine lamented every extra day of the confrontations and the lack of a desire to make a compromise were weakening our country economically, first of all.
