Agro import increased, export changed slightly
Due to the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine information, agricultural products and goods’ import has increased in Jan-Apr 2016 comparing to the same period of 2015 by 12% and reached almost 1.5 B USD (+161 M USD). Along with, import share of agro products in the overall structure has increased from 10% in first 4 months 2015 to 12% in 2016. Plant products import has increased most notably (+71 M USD), animal, oils and fats products’ import has increased to 48 M USD and 27 M USD accordingly. Ready food products’ import gained 15 M USD.
Meanwhile, pace of Ukrainian agro export has remained on the same level of 2015. An overall value of exported agricultural products during four months of 2016 has reached 4.6 B USD and gained 55 M USD extra, comparing to the same period of 2015. Along with, agricultural industry has increased a share of the overall Ukrainian export from 36% up to 42% in this year during first four months.
