Lukashenko, Poroshenko discuss trade relations
The Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko held a telephone conversation with the Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko on 4 August, Belarus Radio reports referring to the Belarus President’s press service.
As to the press service, the heads of state talked over the trade relations between the two countries, other current bilateral issues and cooperation with the Customs Union. The Presidents paid special attention to the issues regarding the supplies of oil products from Belarus to Ukraine.
Alexander Lukashenko stressed that Belarus understands the urgency of the issue taking into account the harvest time and, despite the domestic needs, is ready to provide assistance in providing Ukraine with oil products. Earlier Presidents of Belarus and Kazakhstan Alexander Lukashenko and Nursultan Nazarbayev had a telephone conversation to discuss the situation in Ukraine and measures to rectify it.
«The heads of state talked over the current bilateral relations and the situation in the international arena. Special attention was drawn to the situation in Ukraine and measures to help normalize the situation in the country,» the press service said.
