Ukraine Elaborates Concept of Building of Laboratories for GMO Control
On August 10, 2009 The Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko has commissioned the Economics Ministry and State Committee for Technical Regulation and Consumer Policy to elaborate a concept of building in Ukraine of laboratories for control of genetically-modified organisms within two weeks.

Agriculture ministry predicts this year's sugar output at 1.5 million tons

Russia: trading volumes of deliverable futures for wheat in National commodity exchange reached the highest rate in July 2009
In July 2009, the trading volumes of deliverable futures for wheat in the National commodity exchange, constituent of the group of Moscow Interbank currency exchange, totaled 12892 contracts (over 800 thsd tonnes of the grain) at the sum of 3.94 bln RUR, declared the news release of the commodity exchange on August 3.
