In 10-15 years, Russia to increase grain production to 120-125 mln tonnes
In the nearest 10-15 years, in the terms of using of additional land areas and the growth of yield indices, the general production volumes of grains in Russia will possibly grow to the level of 120-125 mln tonnes per year, declared Elena Skrynnik, the Minister of Agriculture of Russia, on October 2.

The State committee of Ukraine of governmental material resources (Gosreserve) plan to sell 1858.78 tonnes of grains at an auction on October 12, 2009, according to the announcement of Gosreserve. Applications for participation are accepted till October 9, 2009.

Ukraine wheat exports jump
Ukraine's wheat exports jumped to 1.832 million tonnes in September from 1.165 million in August and analysts said on Friday the devaluation of the national currency was the main reason for the increase in sales. "A sharp devaluation of the hryvnia makes our grain more favourable for importers," said Serhiy Feofilov, director of UkrAgroConsult agriculture consultancy.
