Press conference "Hybrid war. Sowing season 2017"

14 February at 10.00 in  the press center "Ukrainian news", which is located at the metro station "Sports Palace", Esplanadna, 20 str (1st floor) will held a press conference "Hybrid war. Sowing season 2017" to ensuring by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine the continuity of seed certification.

Since the stop of activities of the State Inspectorate of agriculture in December 2016, the fulfilling of the functions of seeds certification and planting material completely stopped. Today, the certification process of seeds planting material is not carried out.

Currently, the accepting of applications for certification have not been restored, the territorial structure of GP certification is not specified, there is no information on auditors ' certification, approved for the certification process, the certification of seeds produced in 2016, has not been completed, sampling is stopped, the import/export of seeds is not carried out.

The profile Associations has repeatedly appealed to the Ministry of agrarian policy and food of Ukraine with the request to promptly resolve the issue of registration of seeds, but there is no progress in solving the problem.

Issuse: 

• Ensure the issuance of certificates seeds OECD and ISTA.
• Ensure the definition sowing qualities to complete the certification of seed produced in Ukraine in 2016.
• Introduction of new varieties in the State Register of plant varieties suitable for dissemination in Ukraine in 2017.     
• Putting into circulation own-produced seeds.
