AgriDrink in Mykolaiv

March 17, in Mykolaiv there will be the first  AgriDrink out of capital on the theme: "The southern region, export driver of agriculture in Ukraine".

After a successful recovery reforming format of AgriBeer , the UCAB has received many requests from the regions to support the project. So this year we have decided to hold a series of events in other regional centers of Ukraine. In March we are starting in Mykolaiv!

As told Taras Vysotskyi, Director General of UCAB, during the meeting there will be considered two issues. The first one regards the export potential of the agricultural sector, the second issue about the market of agricultural land as a prerequisite for doubling the agricultural GDP of the Ukrainian steppe.

"The southern region is a driver, a leader and most importantly – has the greatest potential, in terms of acceleration and growth in the agricultural sector. From the southern region physically exported 80% of agricultural products, grains and oilseeds. The South and the steppe is one of the main, and not inferior to the Central region. Here is a good black soil, and the only factor which is limiting the yield is irrigation. Unfortunately, most of the calculations of practitioners and experts suggests that irrigation can be activated only with the opening a land market. Therefore, in this region we will conduct the event with emphasizing on exports and the land market", - said Taras Vysotskyi.

Taras Vysotskyi, Director General of the Association "Ukrainian  agribusiness club ", the presentation of the export potential of Ukrainian agriculture.

Roman Hrab, an expert on land issues in UCAB, will analyze the existing draft laws on land market.

Igor Buchatskyi, CEO Agro-Dilo, Regional Manager ED&F Man Ukraine, will make an analysis of the state and prospects of development of irrigated agriculture in the Mykolaiv and Kherson oblast.
